Because flat roofing is tricky business. By the nature of their design, flat roofs endure extreme punishment from Mother Nature. Since there is little or no slope to the roof, rain, snow, and accumulated debris don’t shed as easily. Consequently, flat roofs can be more prone to leakage and damage due to weather related events and their aftermath. That’s why it takes a specialist with the skill and know-how to properly install a flat roof. When built and flashed correctly, a flat roof will resist the weather, will not leak, and will last for many years to come.
Serving the entire Snohomish and King County area since 1976, the skilled experts at Masters Roofing have consistently provided our customers with the highest quality flat roofing services at the most affordable prices.
At Masters Roofing, we understand that flat roofs are preferred for a number of reasons. They are often necessary for large commercial buildings, when a sloped roof would be impractical and not structurally sound. In addition, many commercial establishments need a roof that will accommodate and support specialized equipment such as HVAC units. In addition, while not structurally necessary, flat roofs are preferred by some residential homeowners because of their versatility and ability to provide additional living space. For instance, many homeowners use flat roofs for decks, rooftop gardening, and patio space. That’s why, at Masters Roofing, no job is too big or small!
Over the years, flat roofing materials have evolved from old-style substances such as tar to more efficient and effective materials, and Masters Roofing has kept pace with the times. We use the most efficient materials available, including PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and TPO (thermoplastic olefin). In some instances, where appropriate, we’ll also use Torch Down, which is a modified bitumen made from asphalt and a mixture of chemical modifiers and solvents. This material is known for it’s durability, longevity, and low cost, but should only be used under certain circumstances.
Don’t know what material is right for your roof? No worries! The experts at Masters Roofing are here to help! We’ll guide you through the process and explain in as much detail as you want the differences between the types of roofing materials we use.
